Our Woolton Out of Hours Kids’ Club setting was inspected by Ofsted on the 10th May and we are delighted to announce that we received a grading of “Met.”
This is the highest grading that clubs like ours can receive, since Ofsted changed the EIF (education inspection framework).
Some of the highlights of the report include;
“Staff’s support for the children is friendly and playful. Older children check the welfare of younger ones.”
“Children’s play helps to promote their learning. Running a busy café in the roleplay area involves children in writing customers’ food orders. This supports their literacy.”
“Children learn about the festival of Diwali and make cards. This encourages children to understand and respect each other’s beliefs and cultures. In addition, children practise their design and making skills.”
“Parents and carers say that children like coming to the club.”
“Staff take rigorous account of information about children’s health.”
“Partnership between the club and the school is effective. Staff exchange daily information that promotes children’s physical and emotional well-being. In addition, there are regular scheduled meetings between the club and the school. This helps to ensure that information about matters such as child protection is shared appropriately.”
We are really happy with the report and we feel that it’s a great representation of Woolton Kids’ Club.
